the Dragon Hunter

Sit down and let me tell you a legend handed down to me from ages ago! It's a story of grand beasts with scales as large as boulders for skin and raging fires of brimstone for bellies. DRAGONS! Yes! The spiny beasts of old, their claws as hard as steel and sharp as daggers. Their mere gaze enough to defeat some of the strongest adversaries. It was the Dragons who inherited the Earth all those years ago from the meek humans. At one time they had been friends but as time wore on, they became the worst of enemies. And from their new rivalry came the tales you already know. There are tales of knights & wizards dueling dragons to win love, peace or to merely feed their human pride.

But first some Dragon History...

The Legend of the Mini Dragons.
The Mini Dragons, or "runts" as they are referred to by their own are the chihuahua of the Dragon World! Through time and chance the DNA of the superior Dragon Lords was whittled down until a new inferior race of Dragons were born! The Mini Dragons have been immortalized in figurine form and you can buy them here on The Dragon Hunter!

Ollendorf the Pewter Wizard.
Ollendorf, known by his foes as "The Pewter Wizard" was charged by Cid the Lord of Midgar to derive a means to eradicate the fearsome Dragon hordes of old. Ollendorf took on the task set before him by Lord Cid and head out from his dank dungeon with a fire of hatred in his eyes. After traveling for 20 days with no sleep, rest or nourishent, Ollendorf snuck so quietly into the Dragon Den that not a single scaly eyelid flickered alive. Ollendorf proceeded to use his great staff and incantations to transform the great Dragon horde into a garden of towering pewter statues. Unfortunately for humankind, Ollendorf was himself turned into a statue of pewter that day, though no man knows why. Replicas of these great pewter dragons can be found at the Dragon Hunter!

The Dragons of the Crystal Caverns.
It is long told that the source of the Dragon's fire breath is a rare type of crystal that was handed down to Dragonkind by "The Lady of the Crystal". It is said that in exchange for peace with Dragons The Lady of the Crystal bestowed upon the Dragons a Crystal Cavern. The Crystals therein, when consumed, would turn to fire in the Dragon's leather bellies. It was long thought that Dragon's breathed fire but that is false. The Great Dragons actually projectile vomited the deadly blasts! One day, a rogue Dragon attacked The Lady of the Crystal. When she attempted to summon the Dragons of the Crystal Cavern for aide, they ignored her plea. It is said that she had placed a curse on the Crystals, that in the event of her untimely death, any Dragon that had consumed one of her crystals would itself be turned to crystal. On an expedition late in the 18th century, we at the Dragon Hunter located and retrieved the great crystal dragons and have placed a variety of crystal dragons for sale at the Dragon Hunter.

You are the Dragon Hunter!
The stories will have to wait for now because you, "The Dragon Hunter" have come seeking a dragon or two to call your own and we want nothing more than to help you in your quest!
