Big Little Books are a piece of American history. The distinctive thing about Big Little Books is their size i.e, their thickness (big) and their dimensions (little). A Big Little Book is the fusion of a novel with comic book in that it's like a simplistic novel yet also features pictures similar to a comic book. Big Little Books generally have a hard cover and are about 3.5 inches by 4.5 inches in size. Big Little Books were produced from 1932 until the present, although the most well known and collectible Big Little Books are the vintage Big Little Books from the 1930's, 1940's. Big Little Books have become very collectible over the years and the value of a Big Little Book can range from $40 up to several thousands of dollars depending on the condition of the book and the rarity. Some of the more popular Big Little Book Titles were: Alley Oop, Andy Panda, Betty Boop, Blondie, Buck Jones, Buck Rogers, Bugs Bunny, Captain Midnight, Charlie Chan, Dan Dunn, Dick Tracy, Donald Duck, Flash Gordon, Gene Autry, Little Orphan Annie, Lone Ranger, Mickey Mouse, Popeye, Red Ryder, Roy Rogers, Tailspin Tommy, Tarzan, Wyatt Earp. Collecting Big Little Books can be a rewarding hobby as well as a fantastic investment! |
